What is Barter?
Barter or trade is a powerful tool that represents a solution for companies with available inventory or services. By accepting payment in barter dollars instead of cash, a business maximizes their efficiency by increasing inventory turnover or billable hours. Using the barter dollars earned, that company can purchase goods or services they want – without paying cash.
First Canadian Barter Exchange (FCBE) is an organization designed to help small and medium-sized businesses make the most of unused capacity and excess inventory. In addition, we show companies how to purchase a vast array of goods and services, cash-free! We work with service-based businesses, retail stores, suppliers, distributors, hotels, and health-care practitioners, and many more industries.

How does it work?
At First Canadian Barter Exchange, we show you how to trade your company's products or services with thousands of other businesses. This allows you to access thousands of products and services without taking cash out of your pocket, or your company's budget!
Each member of FCBE is assigned a broker who is dedicated to promoting their business and generating additional sales
for them. When a sale is made, your company is paid in "trade credits." These credits can be used to purchase any of the thousands of items available through FCBE members.
A huge assortment of items can be purchased with trade credits including advertising, web design, printing, accounting, travel accommodations, dental services, spa treatments, staff benefits, customer rewards, and restaurant meals, just to name a few.
